Boot Chest Design

A combination of great style and quality, our Boot Chests look great while at the same time remaining highly practical and if you have a dog, it remains low enough for them to be comfortable in the back.

Everything that you need for a couple of days shooting can be neatly fitted within our two or three, drawer Boot Chest

All of the drawer bases can be baize, vinyl or eco leather lined, and we provide a variety of colours to choose from.

Our Boot Chests have a dog mat fitted to the top that will soak up water (which they’ll love as it draws the moisture of them), and it will also help protect the box from unsightly scratches. This mat can also be thrown in on a cold wash, so it’s extremely easy to keep it clean.

All interiors can be interchanged via a simple tray, so that you can go from one gun to a pair, or remove it to leave two large draws should you choose.

Depending on your requirements in the field we can also fit out your refreshment drawer which includes racks for holding flutes, shot cups, dividers for bottles, flasks, and a bottle opener.

You may want to include several types of drinking cups for a variety of drinks. We can cut the trays to fit your cups.

We prefer using the plated champagne flutes and Aperitif goblets or numbered Silver Plated/stainless steel cups as they do not chip, and will last as long as your Boot Chest

Boot Chest Construction

All our Boot Chests are constructed by hand at the foot of the South Downs. Our Boot Chests are constructed out of Oak, American Black Walnut, Mahogany or, we can also build in a range of timbers and if there is a specific type of wood that you would like us to use, please get in touch and we’ll provide you with a quote.

A hard wax oil finish is often used, as it’s much easier to maintain, and keeps it looking great as time goes by.

Should you want a varnish or lacquer to achieve a high gloss finish then pleases don’t hesitate to ask as it looks fantastic, but bare in mind that all can get scratched one way or another, especially if you transport your dog (or somebody else’s).
